Ruth’s Chris Steak House introduces new dining dress code
Upscale Steakhouse Updates Policy
Ruth’s Chris Steak House has announced a new dress code for guests in its dining rooms. Diners are now expected to maintain business attire, and hats are banned in most areas of the restaurant.
Rules for Guests
Guests who enter wearing a hat will be asked to remove it or be directed to the bar or lounge instead of the dining room. The policy also restricts casual clothing, including gym wear, pool attire, and clothing with offensive language or graphics. Revealing clothing such as tank tops or exposed undergarments is not permitted.
Part of Broader Restaurant Standards
Ruth’s Chris’ parent company was acquired by Darden Restaurants for about $715 million. Darden oversees a variety of restaurant brands, each with its own dress standards, including Olive Garden and The Capital Grille. This update aligns Ruth’s Chris with the company’s focus on upscale dining experiences.
