Huntsville Committee of 100 elects new leadership

Huntsville’s Committee of 100 has welcomed new leadership, signaling a renewed focus on economic growth, education, and local government collaboration.

New Leadership Appointed

Bree Wilbourn was elected chair of the Huntsville Committee of 100, and Les Tillery will lead BizPac, the organization’s political action committee, for the 2026–2028 term. Wilbourn emphasized the Committee’s role in convening leaders and advancing initiatives that strengthen Huntsville and Madison County over the long term.

Focus Areas for the Committee

The Committee of 100 prioritizes long-term economic development, high-quality public education, and cooperative local governance. Its work has included efforts to place certified teachers in classrooms across Huntsville City Schools, Madison City Schools, and Madison County Schools.

Civic Engagement and Economic Development

BizPac, under Tillery’s leadership, aims to amplify the business community’s voice in local leadership and policy decisions. The Committee also hosts candidate schools to educate aspiring public officials on elections and campaign finance while supporting initiatives to attract and retain businesses in North Alabama.
