Huntsville Parks & Recreation is bringing back a spring favorite with EGGstravaganza at John Hunt Park.
Event Details and Activities
The fifth annual EGGstravaganza will take place Saturday, April 4, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Loretta P. Spencer Sports Complex. More than 15,000 eggs will be hidden for children ages 12 and under. Families can enjoy inflatables, crafts, games, food trucks, and photo opportunities. The Easter Bunny will also make a special appearance.
Egg Hunt Schedule
The hunts are organized by age:
10 a.m.: Children with adaptive needs
10:30 a.m.: Ages 5 and under
11 a.m.: Ages 6-8
11:30 a.m.: Ages 9-12
Children who miss their assigned time can join the 11:30 a.m. hunt. Younger kids may participate in older groups, but older children should stick to their age group or older to keep the event fair.
Family Fun and Memories
Director James Gossett said the event has become a spring tradition families look forward to each year. He noted it gives kids a “big leagues” egg hunt experience while creating lasting memories for the whole family.
