Huntsville Parks & Recreation is celebrating Women’s History Month with the third annual HerPower Walk.
Event Details
The free, family-friendly 5K walk will take place Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at John Hunt Park. The route follows the paved walking trail at the John Hunt Park Cross Country Course, 2151 Airport Rd. SW.
Activities and Features
The event welcomes women, girls, and supportive men. Participants can enjoy vendors, food trucks with concessions for purchase, uplifting music, and opportunities for connection and empowerment.
Community and Empowerment
Superintendent Dorianne Johnson said the walk is about connection and celebrating strength in the community. Director James Gossett added that the event allows residents to explore John Hunt Park while fostering meaningful community connections.
