Two local students crowned Alabama state archery champions

Two elementary students from Madison have won state archery championships and will now advance to national competition, according to online reports.

Madison Students Win State Titles

The National Archery in the Schools Program Alabama State Championship crowned two local winners this year. Natalie Yancey claimed the elementary girls title, while Noah Parcus won the elementary boys division.

Natalie scored 276 out of 300. Meanwhile, Noah posted a winning score of 280 out of 300. Both performances placed them at the top of their divisions.

Strong Competition and Dedication

This year’s event featured more than 2,000 student participants across Alabama. Therefore, the competition remained highly competitive at every level.

Both students advanced through regional qualifiers before reaching the state championship. As a result, their wins reflect consistent performance and strong dedication to the sport.

Family members and community supporters praised their achievements. In addition, they highlighted the hard work and focus required to reach this level.

Next Stop: National Competition

Natalie and Noah will now compete at the NASP Eastern National Championship in Kentucky this May.

This next stage will bring together top student archers from across the region. However, both athletes have already proven their ability to compete at a high level.

As they prepare for nationals, the Madison community continues to support their success. Their achievements also highlight the growing impact of student archery programs in local schools.
