A new program is giving Huntsville-area residents an easier way to explore recreational opportunities at Redstone Arsenal.
According to online reports, Redstone Arsenal and the Madison Chamber of Commerce have launched the Redstone Recreation Passport to encourage community members to take advantage of available family and recreation activities.
New Recreation Passport Connects Community With Redstone Activities
The Redstone Recreation Passport program is designed to highlight the installation’s existing free Recreation Badge, which allows approved community members access to select morale, welfare, and recreation activities at Redstone Arsenal.
According to online reports, the partnership between Redstone Arsenal and the Madison Chamber of Commerce aims to strengthen connections between the installation and the surrounding Tennessee Valley community.
How Residents Can Participate
Community members interested in joining the program must first apply for a free Recreation Badge through the Redstone Arsenal Visitor Control Center at Gate 9 on Rideout Road.
Applicants will need to provide an approved form of identification, meet security requirements, and complete the necessary background screening process before receiving access.
Once approved, participants can pick up a Redstone Recreation Passport through the Madison Chamber of Commerce or access a digital version online.
Passport Program Offers Rewards for Exploring
Participants can collect stamps by visiting eligible recreational locations and activities throughout Redstone Arsenal.
According to online reports, those who collect at least three stamps can return their completed passport to the Madison Chamber of Commerce to receive a prize.
The new initiative provides another opportunity for families and community members to discover the recreational resources available at Redstone Arsenal while building stronger ties throughout the Tennessee Valley.
