Huntsville Hospital Health System is expanding its operations into Arab with a new facility that could bring up to 250 jobs to the area.
New operations center opens in Arab
According to online reports, the health system and Marshall Medical Centers have opened a 32,000-square-foot Operations Center at 8830 U.S. 231 in Arab.
The facility will handle several nonclinical services for the health system. These include billing, preregistration, scheduling, customer service and accounting.
Around 60 employees already work at the new center, with more positions expected as operations grow.
Expansion creates local job opportunities
The Arab facility will support up to 250 jobs, giving residents more employment opportunities in the area.
The health system opened the location after its existing operations center in Madison reached capacity. The new space allows the organization to expand its workforce while keeping these business operations in the region.
The investment also adds a major employer presence to Arab and Marshall County.
Ribbon-cutting planned for Monday
Huntsville Hospital Health System and Marshall Medical Centers will hold a ribbon-cutting and open house on Monday, August 24, at 3 p.m.
The event will mark the official opening of the new facility and highlight its role in supporting the health system’s growing operations.
For Arab, the new center brings both a significant business investment and the potential for hundreds of local jobs.
