Huntsville City Football Club Announces Coaching Staff Changes

Huntsville City Football Club Head Coach Change

Huntsville City Football Club has announced that Jack Collison will be stepping down as head coach, with Christophe Berra taking over the role as interim Head Coach with immediate effect for the rest of the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro season.

The club extended a sincere thanks to Collison for his contributions towards the team’s growth and wished him well for his future.

Initially appointed on January 18, 2023, as the club’s first Head Coach, Collison brought with him a wealth of experience from his time as a player in the English Premier League and from his coaching positions, notably with Atlanta United FC 2. Over his period with Huntsville City FC in MLS NEXT Pro, Collison managed the team in 32 matches, securing 9 wins, 14 losses, and 9 draws.

Taking over, Berra, with his vast experience from over 560 matches in the Scottish and English Premier Leagues and 41 international appearances for Scotland, is well-equipped for the leadership role. Having begun coaching in 2022, Berra recently worked as a first-team coach at Livingston FC in the Scottish Premiership.

Berra’s first match as interim Head Coach will be this Saturday, April 13, at 7 p.m. CT, where Huntsville City FC will face Crown Legacy FC at Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium. Tickets for the game can be purchased online.
