Huntsville is getting its own official MONOPOLY board game, with a local edition set to launch in 2027, according to online reports.
Huntsville Joins Exclusive MONOPOLY City Editions
MONOPOLY: Huntsville Edition is scheduled to release in March 2027. The announcement was made during a recent visit from Mr. Monopoly, marking a major milestone for the city.
In addition, Huntsville becomes one of only a few Alabama cities to receive a custom MONOPOLY board, joining Birmingham and Mobile.
Local Landmarks and Businesses Will Be Featured
The game will highlight well-known Huntsville landmarks, businesses, and nonprofits. Potential property spots include places like the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, Von Braun Center, and Orion Amphitheater.
As a result, the board will reflect the city’s identity, including attractions that represent its growth in aerospace, entertainment, and culture.
Residents Invited to Help Shape the Game
Game makers Top Trumps USA and Hasbro are inviting Huntsville residents to submit ideas for properties, Chance cards, and Community Chest features.
Meanwhile, suggestions are being collected through email, with submissions open until mid-July. Officials say the goal is to include local humor, culture, and recognizable experiences in the final design.
Interested parties can email their recommendations to [email protected]. They are accepting recommendations until the week of July 12.
