Razzo Pizzeria Permanently Closes in Downtown Huntsville
Razzo Pizzeria, located on Holmes Avenue, recently announced its permanent closure through social media. The restaurant thanked customers for their support and reflected on the opportunity to serve the Huntsville community.
The pizzeria opened in spring 2025 and quickly gained attention for its specialty pizzas, sourdough crust, and aerospace-inspired menu names that celebrated Huntsville’s Rocket City identity.
Popular Pizza Spot Built a Loyal Following
Owned by baker and entrepreneur Heidi Kizer, Razzo offered both whole pizzas and by-the-slice options. In addition, the restaurant featured craft beer selections and creative menu items that helped it stand out in the local dining scene.
As a result, news of the closure generated dozens of reactions online, with many customers sharing memories and favorite menu items.

Razzo becomes the fourth downtown Huntsville restaurant reported to close in 2026. Other recent closures include Phat Sammy’s, La Cocina Esquina, and Catch 25.
