Huntsville Summer Camp registration opens April 13

Registration for summer camps through Huntsville Parks & Recreation will open April 13 at 8 a.m., giving families access to a range of full-day and specialty programs for children during summer break.

Summer Camp Registration Details

Registration will be handled online, allowing families to sign up for available camps on a first-come, first-served basis. In addition, parents are encouraged to create accounts ahead of time to streamline the process.

The programs are available to Huntsville residents and Huntsville City Schools students entering grades 1–6. A $20 registration fee applies to full-day camps.

Camp Schedule and Options

Full-day camps will run from June 1 through July 24, operating weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. These camps will be hosted at multiple recreation centers across the city.

In addition, specialty half-day camps will be offered at various locations with different dates, times, and themes. Options include sports camps, art programs, and activity-based sessions designed for different age groups.

Focus on Affordable, Engaging Activities

According to Parks & Recreation leadership, the goal is to provide a safe and engaging environment for children while school is out. Therefore, the camps are structured to keep participants active, supported, and involved in group activities throughout the summer.

With a mix of full-day and specialty programs, families have multiple options to choose from based on schedules and interests.
