Family Savings Credit Union is celebrating its 75th anniversary with a free community event in Huntsville. According to event information, the celebration will feature a Diamond Dig, family-friendly activities, food trucks, and the chance to win prizes, including a diamond necklace.
Diamond Dig offers prizes and giveaways
The event will take place on Wednesday, July 29, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the John Hunt Park Jaycee Building, located at 2200 Jaycee Way, Huntsville.
Registered participants will have the opportunity to dig for one diamond-shaped prize capsule.
Prizes may include cash, gift cards, jewelry, Family Savings Credit Union merchandise, and other giveaways. One participant at the Huntsville event will also have the chance to win a diamond necklace valued at nearly $1,000.
Family activities and local vendors
In addition to the Diamond Dig, the event will feature several activities for all ages. Guests can enjoy balloon animals, face painting, a 360 photo booth, inflatable jump houses, and live music from a DJ.
Several local food vendors will also be on-site with food and drinks available for purchase, giving attendees even more to enjoy throughout the evening.
Celebrating 75 years in the community
The Huntsville celebration is one of 11 Diamond Dig events taking place across Alabama and Georgia to mark Family Savings Credit Union’s 75th anniversary.
The organization says the event is designed to thank the communities that have supported it over the years while bringing families together for an evening of entertainment, prizes, and community celebration.
Organizers also note that traffic near John Hunt Park may be heavier than usual during the event.
