Huntsville’s free Halloween events include Boo Bash, Monster Mash and more

Huntsville Parks & Recreation is bringing Halloween fun across the city with 10 free fall and Halloween events scheduled throughout October.

Halloween fun starts October 22

The lineup begins with Boo Bash on Thursday, Oct. 22, from 5-7:30 p.m. at Brahan Spring Recreation Center. Families can also attend Monster Mash on Oct. 24 at Mark Russell Recreation Center and Gloween on Oct. 27 at Max Luther Community Center.

Additional events include Fang-Tastic Family Fun Fest, Howling on The Moon and Haunted Hallways and Fall Festival, giving families several opportunities to celebrate throughout the month.

More fall festivals are coming

The Halloween lineup continues into the final days of October with STEM-O-WEEN, Fall into Fun Festival and Spooktacular Fall Festival on Friday, Oct. 30.

The series wraps up with Frightful Fun Fest on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 6-8 p.m. at Lakewood Community Center.

All October Halloween events hosted by Huntsville Parks & Recreation are free to attend, and costumes are encouraged.

Halloween Party returns to John Hunt Park

The fifth annual Halloween Party & Haunted House will take place Friday, Oct. 23, from 6-9 p.m. at the Jaycee Building in John Hunt Park.

The popular event is a collaboration between Huntsville Parks & Recreation and the Huntsville Police Department and typically draws thousands of Halloween fans.

Families can find additional details and event updates through Huntsville Parks & Recreation’s social media pages. With activities scheduled throughout the city, there will be plenty of opportunities for local families to get into the Halloween spirit this fall.
