Huntsville has approved a development agreement for Graham Farms, a planned 300-acre mixed-use community in Limestone County that could bring about 1,400 homes to the area.
Graham Farms planned near Greenbrier
According to online reports, the City of Huntsville approved an agreement with WONDERLAND AL LLC for the project.
Graham Farms will sit near Greenbrier Parkway and Mooresville Road, south of Huntsville Brownsferry Road. Developers expect to build the community over roughly 15 years.
The residential portion will include homes at multiple price points, along with approximately 350 multifamily units.
Retail and green space included
The development will also feature about 250,000 square feet of retail space.
Plans call for a town-square-style commercial area that could give future residents convenient access to shops, restaurants, and other services.
In addition, the project includes approximately 15 acres of green space, adding outdoor areas within the growing community.
Dedicated section for active adults
Graham Farms will include a 100-lot neighborhood for adults age 55 and older.
To support the development, Huntsville plans to extend sanitary sewer infrastructure to the site. The city also expects to make roadway improvements in the surrounding area.
The project adds another large-scale residential and commercial development to the Huntsville region as growth continues into Limestone County.
