What to Watch Out For: Stadium Commons welcomes first tenants

Huntsville’s $145 million Stadium Commons development is beginning to come alive as its first tenants open their doors.

First Wave of Retailers

The first business to open was Hattie B’s Hot Chicken in December. It is joined by Free People and Free People Movement stores, along with existing tenants like Ferren Boutique and VSL Nails. The developer also announced plans for a “two-story, high-end restaurant from Power Brands” as part of the initial retail lineup.

Progress on Development

The retail and office spaces are nearing completion, signaling the first phase of Stadium Commons is almost ready for full occupancy. The development repurposes land previously occupied by the Hollywood 18 movie theater and Century Plaza office space, bringing a modern mixed-use experience to the area.

What’s Next for Stadium Commons

Future phases could include a hotel and a multifamily residential complex, adding even more amenities to the downtown area. As additional tenants move in, Stadium Commons is expected to become a central hub for dining, shopping, and entertainment in Huntsville.
