Walmart issues safety recall on camping stoves and kids’ helmets

Walmart is recalling two popular products and warning customers to stop using them immediately, according to online reports.

Products Affected

The recalled items include the Ozark Trail Tabletop 1-Burner Butane Camping Stove and Outdoor Master children’s and youth helmets. The camping stoves have been linked to explosions and fires, while the helmets failed to meet safety standards, posing a risk of serious injury in a crash.

Where and When Sold

The Ozark Trail stoves were manufactured by China Window Industry Co., Ltd., in Taipei, Taiwan, and were sold at Walmart stores nationwide and online from March 2023 through October 2025 for $8 to $45.

The Outdoor Master helmets were imported by Maysun Products, Inc., in Chino, California, and sold online from June 2024 through February 2025 for $20 to $32.

Customer Instructions

According to online reports, Walmart advises customers to stop using both products immediately and return them to any Walmart store for a full refund.
