As colder temperatures settle over the Tennessee Valley, the Downtown Rescue Mission in Huntsville is working to keep people warm and fed. Steven Hendrix, who manages the Agape thrift shop at the mission, highlighted how their services meet critical needs.

ToggleEssential support for those in need
“People need shelter, especially when temperatures drop,” Hendrix said. “This place provides housing, food, and clothing for those who truly need it.”
How you can help
The mission always welcomes clothing donations, but the demand for hoodies, jackets, blankets, and other cold-weather items has increased. Along with donations, they also need volunteers to assist in the thrift shop or help distribute meals.
If you want to support their efforts, consider volunteering or donating today. Visit their website for more details.
