North Alabama Airfest 2025 breaks records, reveals 2026 dates

The 2025 North Alabama Airfest at Pryor Field Regional Airport drew a record crowd of more than 12,500 visitors from 35 states and three countries, marking the region’s biggest aviation event in over a decade.

Record Attendance and High-Flying Performances

Over the two-day event, more than 15 aerial performers delivered nearly four hours of nonstop flight demonstrations, thrilling aviation fans and families alike. The festival also hosted 55 vendors featuring aircraft exhibits, local food, and merchandise.

“The turnout this year was incredible,” said Denice Marco, Marketing and Events Coordinator at Pryor Field. “It reflects how strongly people believe in what we’re building for North Alabama’s aviation future.”

Backed by $200,000 in sponsorships and $126,000 in ticket sales, Airfest 2025 represented a major joint effort between the Pryor Field Airport Authority, regional partners, and aviation organizations. The total cost of staging the event reached about $270,000.

$3.2 Million Economic Impact

According to Pryor Field officials, the airshow generated more than $3.2 million in regional economic activity across Limestone County, Decatur, and the Tennessee Valley.

Key contributors included out-of-town visitor spending, vendor sales, lodging, and restaurant activity. Some vendors earned more than $50,000 in sales, while others averaged over $15,000.

“The Airfest isn’t just entertainment—it’s an economic driver,” said Adam Fox, CEO of the Pryor Field Airport Authority. “It brings customers to local hotels, restaurants, and small businesses, all while showcasing North Alabama as a top aviation hub.”

Looking Ahead to 2026

Following this year’s success, organizers have confirmed the 2026 North Alabama Airfest will take place September 12–13, 2026. The upcoming show will include both daytime and evening programs, capped off with a night drone display.

With strong momentum, growing attendance, and community backing, Pryor Field aims to make Airfest one of the Southeast’s premier aviation events for years to come.
