A new dining spot is on the way to downtown Huntsville.
The space at 222 Holmes Ave., known to many local food enthusiasts, has hosted a few well-loved establishments over the years.
Most recently, it was home to a science-themed bakery that later evolved into a baking school before closing in late 2024. Before that, the location was part of a brewpub and restaurant that operated from 2012 to 2021.

Now, the address is preparing for another transformation. A sign in the storefront window announces the arrival of Razzo Pizzeria, which is set to open soon in the 3,600-square-foot space.
What to Expect at Razzo Pizzeria
The new eatery will serve craft pizza by the slice, local beer, wine, salads, and light desserts, with a focus on “100% naturally leavened sourdough crust.”
A Name Inspired by Rocket City
The name “Razzo” translates to “rocket” in Italian, fitting for the Rocket City. Its logo creatively incorporates a pizza-slice-shaped rocket in place of the “A.” A website for the pizzeria is currently under construction. Once open, Razzo will be located next to Catch 25, a seafood restaurant and brewpub that debuted in late 2022.
