Mr. Electric® of Huntsville, a Neighborly® company, celebrated the opening of its new 17,667-square-foot building at 3900 Cypressbrook Drive NW today with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The facility is part of the Brockway Farms development and off Oakwood Road just west of Research Park Boulevard. The newly constructed building sits on 1.46 acres and includes 10,667 square feet of office space, with an additional 7,000 square feet in its warehouse.
Mr. Electric of Huntsville employs 57 people locally, with 39 more employees across its other markets. Keith Pinkerton, Huntsville native and Mr. Electric owner, operates additional Mr. Electric locations in Birmingham, Ala.; Montgomery/Auburn, Ala.; Chattanooga, Tenn.; Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and Franklin, Tenn. The combined markets make this the largest Mr. Electric franchise in the United States.
“It’s incredible to look back at where this began compared to where we are now,” said Pinkerton. “We have a dedicated and hardworking team. It is because of each of them that we stand here today. I am extremely proud and honored to work alongside them every day.”
Brown O’Dell Architects, based in Huntsville, designed the facility. Wallace Construction, a small family-owned local business that started in 2011, was the general contractor.
