ToggleNew Justice Building: Location and Design
The proposed justice building will house 15 courtrooms and the District Attorney’s Office. The county considers sites like the old Huntsville library on Fountain Square. Once complete, a smaller, historically inspired courthouse will replace the old one.
This new design includes landscaped spaces to support downtown’s pedestrian-friendly environment.
County Priorities: Transportation and Public Safety
McCutcheon named transportation and public safety county priorities, funded mainly by property taxes. The 10-year road plan has completed 14 projects, with 22 more planned for 2025.
This plan, supported by the Rebuild Alabama Act and county funds, marks Madison County’s most ambitious transportation effort yet.
