Huntsville’s first Australian-inspired cafe is now open in the Village of Providence. Loona’s Cafe opened its doors on Tuesday, August 19 with a limited menu and plans for a grand opening soon.
A Taste of Australia in the Rocket City
Stepping inside Loona’s Cafe feels like a coastal escape. Bright natural light, flowers on the tables, and friendly greetings set the tone. The cafe is named after the owners’ Australian Shepherd, Loona, who also makes appearances.
Co-founder Ryan Colvin said the vision came from traveling abroad. “This kind of vibe and environment is what the Australian coastline cafes are like, vibrant and Instagram-worthy. We wanted to bring that to Huntsville.”
What’s on the Menu
Loona’s menu combines Australian brunch classics with Southern touches. Guests can try Banana Bread Bites topped with seasonal compote and cream icing, Fairy Bread for the kids, a Lox Pizza with fried eggs, and an “Egg in a Jar” breakfast. Drinks include the Brekkie Margarita, made with orange marmalade, tequila, and egg white foam.
Location and Community
Loona’s Cafe is located at 20 Town Center Drive, Suite 1109A, in the Village of Providence, right next to The Providence Bar. The cafe is open daily from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The team is also building community through a weekly Run Club on Saturdays at 7:30 a.m., with Wednesday sessions launching soon. Loona’s joins sister spots The Providence Bar and Whit’s Custard in creating new gathering spaces for Huntsville residents.
