ToggleAttend a community meeting in February
Residents can share feedback at three community meetings as the MPO finalizes the 2050 Long-Range Transportation Plan. These open-house-style meetings allow attendees to drop in at any time during scheduled hours.
“No one knows Huntsville’s roads better than the people who drive them daily,” said MPO Manager Dennis Madsen. “We want to hear their ideas for making transportation more efficient. Their input could help shape projects that become reality. We encourage everyone to attend and share their thoughts.”
Meeting schedule
Wednesday, Feb. 5 – North Huntsville Public Library, 3011 Sparkman Dr. N, Suite A, 3-5 p.m.
Monday, Feb. 10 – Madison Public Library, 142 Plaza Blvd., Madison, 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 19 – South Huntsville Public Library, 7901-L Bailey Cove Road, 4-6 p.m.
Why your input matters
Public comments will help shape the 2050 LRTP, which outlines funded and future transportation projects for the next 25 years. The MPO Policy Board will vote on the plan in March. Projects must be in the LRTP to qualify for state or federal funding. The plan is updated every five years.
A draft of the 2050 LRTP is available here. Comments can also be submitted via email at longrangeplanning@huntsvilleal.gov.
