Will Carter, Huntsville: completed 11 of 16 passes for 147 yards and three touchdowns in Huntsville’s 30-27 victory over Grissom. He also rushed seven times for 44 yards, adding a touchdown on the ground.

 

 

Jake Jones, Scottsboro: led to a 42-35 win over Boaz, amassing 361 total yards and four touchdowns. He rushed for 226 yards on 25 carries with three touchdowns, while also completing 12 of 15 passes for 135 yards and another touchdown.

 

 

Anthony Gideon, James Clemens: rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns, including a 37-yard scoring run, to help James Clemens secure a 34-31 win over Bob Jones in the Madison Bowl. He also scored the game-winning touchdown to put the Jets ahead.

 

 

Tyler Pierce, Boaz: set a school single-game record with 315 passing yards and four touchdowns in Boaz’s 42-35 loss to Scottsboro.

Homely Huntsville Player of the Week Winners

Week 1: Trey Greenwell, Decatur (15 tackles, a 60-yard pick-six, and a 65-yard punt return for a touchdown.)

Week 2: Noah Gaunt, Randolph: Gaunt went for 153 yards and two touchdowns at receiver in a 32-31 win over Class 4A No. 8 Madison Academy. He also recovered a fumble for a touchdown.
