HudsonAlpha, gener8tor launch sixth AgTech Accelerator Cohort with 10 startups

HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology, in partnership with venture firm and startup accelerator gener8tor, has launched its Fall 2025 AgTech Accelerator featuring 10 innovative startup companies.

The 7-week pre-accelerator program provides concierge support and connections to early-stage agricultural startups, helping them advance technologies, attract investment, and grow their businesses.

“This cohort of ten companies is our biggest group yet,” said Dillon Fritz, Vice President for Economic Development and Commercialization at HudsonAlpha. “Seventy percent of this cohort has roots in Alabama, and two companies have international founders. We’re covering the breadth of the industry with innovators ready to leverage HudsonAlpha and gener8tor’s expertise and resources.”

Kickoff in Dothan Connects Startups to Farmers and Investors

The program’s kickoff took place at HudsonAlpha Wiregrass in Dothan, Ala., a secondary HudsonAlpha location focused on agricultural research, education, and innovation. During the event, startup founders met with local farmers, investors, and key members of the agricultural community, creating opportunities to develop their businesses while addressing real-world challenges.

“The HudsonAlpha AgTech Accelerator selects the best and brightest startups, and this group is no exception,” said Chris Udall, Managing Director of the Accelerator. “Our founders arrived in Dothan ready to develop solutions that improve both farmer livelihoods and crop yields.”

The accelerator is supported by the Innovate Alabama Tax Credit Program through Innovate Alabama. The program will conclude on December 18, and investors, mentors, and community members interested in connecting with the cohort are encouraged to reach out to Christopher Udall at [email protected].
