ToggleGrants fuel festival growth
Thanks to $31,992 in combined grants from Arts Huntsville, the City of Huntsville, and the Alabama State Council on the Arts, the festival is set to expand its reach and programming. These funds will enable organizers to enhance the audience experience, host filmmaker Q&As, and create more opportunities for direct engagement between artists and the community.
State and local backing
The festival was awarded a $14,292 Arts and Cultural Grant from Arts Huntsville and the City, affirming local support for creative events. Additionally, two grants from the Alabama State Council on the Arts — one for $12,600 and another for $5,100 — reflect the state’s recognition of the festival’s cultural value and impact.
Set for June 5–8 at venues throughout the Rocket City, the Southern Fried Film Festival will continue showcasing outstanding films and global talent. For more information, visit southernfriedfilmfestival.org.
