Good Company Cafe is growing! The popular South Huntsville eatery is opening a second location in Five Points and introducing a new dinner concept called Etta’s Tavern, which will take over the former 1892 East building.
Southern Nostalgia on the Menu
Owner Angela Lindbeck describes the new dinner menu as “southern, nostalgic” — familiar flavors with a twist. “It’s the kind of food that gives you that warm, comforting feeling,” she said. While it won’t mirror the cafe’s current menu, it promises the same sense of care and quality diners have come to expect.
The couple brings decades of restaurant experience to the project. Their goal is to create a welcoming space while raising the bar in hospitality. “We want to change the industry, offer safe spaces for workers, and show what female leadership in a male-dominated industry can look like,” Angela said.
Community Love Fuels Growth
Fans of the original cafe are excited about the expansion. Sage Quinn, a longtime patron, said she keeps returning for the Earl Grey scones and the sense of community. “It’s amazing to see them succeed and branch out. Five Points is perfect for them,” Quinn said.
Timeline and Next Steps
Construction for the new location starts February 2, and Angela anticipates both Good Company Cafe Five Points and Etta’s Tavern will open by spring 2026. The Lindbecks are eager to share their southern-inspired dishes and community-focused hospitality with a new neighborhood.
