Spring tulip season blooms at New Market family farm
Hubert Family Tulips Now Open
Hubert Family Farm has opened its spring 2026 tulip season on March 10. Visitors can pick their own tulips and have them cut and wrapped before leaving. The farm is located at 432 Narrow Lane in New Market, Alabama. Families and flower enthusiasts can enjoy a colorful and scenic experience while exploring the fields.
A Generational Farming Legacy
The farm has been in the Hubert family for over a century. George and Sallie Hubert purchased 78 acres in 1917, which became the foundation for future generations.
Over the years, Wade A. Hubert expanded the farm to nearly 2,000 acres. After his death in 1990, his son Billy Wade Hubert continued the family tradition until his passing in 2003.
Despite challenges such as lean years and the Great Depression, the Huberts maintained a strong commitment to agriculture and their community.
Bringing Tulip Fields to North Alabama
Seth Hubert, great-grandson of George and Sallie, revived the farm in 2016 with his wife Kaylee. Inspired by trips to the tulip fields in the Pacific Northwest and his daughter’s love for flowers, he decided to introduce tulips to the farm.
With guidance from experts at Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Oregon, the Huberts created a family-friendly experience. The fields now offer a place to relax, enjoy nature, and connect with farming in a hands-on way.

Hubert Family Tulips welcomes guests to explore the tulip fields and enjoy the beauty of spring in North Alabama. The farm is open now for the season.
