The Huntsville/Madison County Chamber will host a professional development workshop for local interns as part of the 2026 GO Rocket City! Intern Program.
Leadership Workshop Planned at The Orion
The event will take place at The Orion Amphitheater’s Artists’ Dining Room and will bring together interns and college students from across the Huntsville area.
Former City of Madison Mayor Paul Finley will lead the interactive workshop. Through Paul Finley Consulting, he will share leadership insights, communication strategies, and lessons learned during his years in public service and business.
Organizers say the session is designed to help young professionals develop leadership skills while preparing for future careers.
Part of the GO Rocket City! Intern Program
The workshop is one of several events included in the 2026 GO Rocket City! Intern Program.
The program offers interns and college students opportunities to network, volunteer, and participate in professional development throughout the summer. Participants can also meet fellow interns while exploring the Huntsville community.
The Huntsville/Madison County Chamber organizes the initiative in partnership with FuelAL and Innovate Alabama.
Building Connections for Future Leaders
In addition to leadership training, the event encourages interns to build relationships with business professionals and peers from across North Alabama.
Organizers say the GO Rocket City! Intern Program helps participants strengthen professional networks, gain valuable career skills, and learn more about the opportunities available in the Rocket City.
The summer series continues to provide interns with experiences that connect education, workforce development, and community engagement while introducing the next generation of professionals to Huntsville’s growing business community.
