Momentum Executive Class opens applications for female leaders

A leadership development program for high-achieving women in North Alabama is now accepting applications, according to online reports.

Momentum Executive Class Opens Applications

Momentum, a Birmingham-based nonprofit focused on women’s leadership development, is now accepting applicants for its Huntsville Executive Class 5. The application window runs through May 20 for the 2026–27 cohort.

The organization has worked for more than two decades to support women in business through training, mentorship, and networking opportunities. In recent years, it has expanded its reach into North Alabama.

The Executive Class is its most advanced program. It brings together experienced professional women from across Alabama for a year of structured leadership development and peer collaboration.

Program Focuses on Leadership and Career Growth

Momentum’s Executive Class includes mentorship matching, leadership workshops, and networking events. Participants also take part in monthly virtual training sessions and an annual leadership conference.

The program aims to help women strengthen leadership skills while building long-term professional relationships. Organizers say many participants come from industries where women remain underrepresented, including engineering, defense, and aerospace.

Alumnae report strong outcomes after completing the program. According to Momentum, many graduates experience career advancement, expanded leadership roles, and increased mentorship involvement.

Eligibility and Application Details

Applicants typically need at least 10 years of professional or civic leadership experience. The program also looks for candidates with management experience and a strong record of leading major projects or initiatives.

Tuition for the Executive Class is $5,500. Employers often cover part or all of the cost, and limited scholarships may be available.

Each year, a selection committee reviews applications and chooses about 25 to 30 participants. The organization encourages early applications due to limited space and high demand.
