Handshake Barber & Supply is expanding to downtown Huntsville with a new location inside Roosevelt & Co., bringing its community-focused barbershop experience to the city this September.
A barbershop built around community
Founded with the belief that a barbershop should be more than just a place for a haircut, Handshake Barber & Supply emphasizes creating a welcoming space where customers can connect, relax, and build relationships.
The shop combines traditional barbering services—including classic haircuts, beard trims, and hot towel straight razor shaves—with modern grooming trends, online appointment booking, and a laid-back atmosphere featuring arcade games and vinyl music.
Founded by barber Drew Godfrey
Owner Drew Godfrey launched Handshake Barber & Supply after training at the American Barber Institute in New York City and apprenticing with experienced barbers. His vision was to create a neighborhood gathering place where quality grooming and genuine hospitality go hand in hand.
The business has since grown to serve customers in Arab and Guntersville, building a reputation for skilled barbers and a welcoming environment.
Opening inside Roosevelt & Co.
The new Huntsville location will open inside Roosevelt & Co. at 114 Clinton Ave. E., Suite 102 in downtown Huntsville.
The expansion is expected to open in September 2026, giving downtown residents and visitors another option for classic barber services in a community-centered setting.
