Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams is getting ready to welcome Huntsville customers with a grand opening celebration in downtown on Sept. 17.
Grand opening planned for September
According to online reports, the new shop will open at 114 Clinton Ave. in downtown Huntsville.
The grand opening will run from 6 to 10 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17. The celebration will include free scoops throughout the evening.
The first 50 guests in line will also receive Jeni’s merchandise bags. Plus, five guests will have a chance to win free ice cream for an entire year.
A new spot for Jeni’s fans
Local business owner Ayesha Cooley is bringing the ice cream brand to Huntsville. Her family already operates several businesses in the area.
Cooley became interested in the franchise after years of loving Jeni’s. She also has a personal connection to the brand. She visited a Jeni’s shop with family after her wedding reception in Nashville.
The Huntsville shop will replace Caley Paige Boutique at its former downtown location. Cooley hopes the new space becomes a welcoming spot for locals and visitors.
Expect rotating flavors
Jeni’s offers classic favorites alongside more unusual combinations. The brand avoids artificial flavors and regularly introduces seasonal selections.
The Huntsville shop plans to keep 20 rotating flavors available. Popular options include Brambleberry Crisp and Gooey Butter Cake, along with flavors inspired by chocolate, cookies, mint and other familiar favorites.
Jeni’s products already appear in several Huntsville grocery stores, including Publix and The Fresh Market. The new downtown shop will mark the brand’s third Alabama location and its first outside the Birmingham area.
For local ice cream fans, the September opening adds another sweet stop to downtown Huntsville’s growing food scene.
