Huntsville’s $10 million Ditto Landing Expansion opening soon

A new riverfront event center at Ditto Landing in Huntsville is set to open December 5, bringing a major addition to the waterfront destination. The venue will make its debut during the Christmas on the River celebration with a Bluegrass & BBQ event.

Located at 293 Ditto Landing Road SE, the project is part of a larger effort by Madison County to transform the riverfront into a destination for concerts, weddings, dining and community gatherings.

$10 million project transforms 2.5-acre riverfront site

The Madison County Commission approved the construction contract in April 2025. The approximately $10 million project covers 2.5 acres and includes renovated and newly constructed spaces.

Plans called for approximately 31,000 square feet of interior space, 16,000 square feet of exterior amenities and a 12,000-square-foot outdoor plaza. The development also includes commercial spaces, private dining areas and an exterior VIP deck.

New venue designed for concerts, weddings and community events

The renovated event center will feature approximately 17,721 square feet of conditioned space, including a kitchen, restrooms and common areas. Its event floor will span about 9,465 square feet.

Depending on the setup, the venue can accommodate up to 600 people for banquet-style events, 1,000 for seated concerts or conferences, and 1,500 for standing-only events.

Outdoor event space will also provide standing room for approximately 1,700 people, expanding the site’s capacity for larger gatherings.

Ditto Landing expansion opens during Christmas on the River

The new event center will officially open December 5 as part of Christmas on the River, with Bluegrass & BBQ marking the venue’s first event.

Madison County Commissioner Phil Riddick previously said the project aims to make better use of the area’s riverfront by creating a place for concerts, weddings, corporate events and restaurant dining. Plans also envision a stop along the greenway where visitors can eat, relax and take in views of the Tennessee River.

The opening will introduce another destination for events and recreation along Huntsville’s riverfront.
