Garver LLC has secured a $680,691 contract to design a key roadway project in Huntsville, according to online reports.
Garver Lands Contract for Resolute Way Design
The City of Huntsville approved the engineering design contract for Resolute Way Phase 1. The project includes about 2.1 miles of new roadway.
Garver will lead surveying, geotechnical analysis, and overall design. The work will follow state and federal requirements.
Project Targets Traffic Improvements Near Redstone Arsenal
Resolute Way will connect Interstate 565 to Redstone Gateway near Gate 9 of Redstone Arsenal.
In addition, improvements along I-565 near Madison Boulevard will help create more direct access to the installation. As a result, officials expect smoother traffic flow in one of the area’s busiest corridors.
The project will also support upgrades near the I-565 and Research Park Boulevard interchange. Therefore, commuters and nearby businesses could see long-term benefits.
Funding and Project Timeline
The project is backed by funding in partnership with the Alabama Department of Transportation. The total funding package includes $11.5 million.
Design is expected to wrap up by mid-2027. Once completed, the project can move into the next phase toward construction.
