Travelers in North Alabama now have a new nonstop flight option to South Florida, according to online reports.
Breeze Airways Adds Fort Lauderdale Route
Huntsville International Airport recently celebrated the launch of new nonstop service between Huntsville and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The route is operated by Breeze Airways and expands the airline’s growing presence in the Tennessee Valley.
Service operates twice each week, with flights scheduled on Mondays and Fridays. In addition, introductory fares start at $44 one-way.
What Travelers Need to Know
Breeze Airways operates the route using its Airbus A220 aircraft. Passengers can choose between premium and economy seating options.
As a result, travelers now have another affordable way to reach South Florida without a connecting flight. The route also provides convenient access to several major cruise ports and popular vacation destinations in the region.
Huntsville Continues Expanding Flight Options
Airport leaders say the new service strengthens Huntsville International Airport’s growing lineup of nonstop destinations. Meanwhile, Breeze Airways now offers nonstop flights from Huntsville to Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Orlando, and Tampa.
The new route follows other recent air service expansions at HSV. For example, Allegiant Air recently launched nonstop flights between Huntsville and Gulf Shores. The airline also serves Fort Lauderdale, Orlando-area destinations, and the Tampa region.
As demand for air travel continues to grow, airport officials say additional nonstop options help provide more convenience and flexibility for North Alabama travelers.
