Huntsville travelers now have a new nonstop option to Florida’s Gulf Coast.
Allegiant Launches Direct Flights to St. Pete-Clearwater
Allegiant Air has begun a nonstop route from Huntsville International Airport to St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport. The service started Thursday, giving North Alabama travelers a direct option to the Tampa Bay area.
Flights operate twice weekly on Sundays and Thursdays, using Allegiant’s 180-seat Airbus aircraft with three classes of seating. Introductory one-way fares start at $39 for a limited time.
Expanding Travel Options
“Our customers love the value and easy access to Florida’s Sun Coast that Allegiant is providing with this new nonstop,” said Butch Roberts, CEO of Huntsville International Airport.
Florida remains one of North Alabama’s most popular destinations, and the route offers an affordable option for beach vacations. Roberts added that the new service makes it easier for families to fly together while keeping costs low.
Part of Ongoing Expansion
The St. Pete-Clearwater route is part of Allegiant’s continued growth in Huntsville. The airline is also adding nonstop flights to Orlando-Stanford and Fort Lauderdale, expanding its presence in the Tennessee Valley and giving local travelers more convenient access to popular Florida destinations.
