Travelers from north Alabama will be able to reach the Gulf Coast faster in 2026 with a direct flight from Huntsville International Airport to Gulf Shores.

Allegiant Travel Company announced the new route will begin May 21, 2026, offering the only nonstop commercial service between two Alabama cities. One-way fares start at $39, with tickets required to be purchased by November 19, 2025 for travel through August 18, 2026.

Huntsville International Airport CEO Butch Roberts emphasized the benefits: “You’ll spend more time on the beach instead of stuck on the road. Now, you don’t have to worry about I-65 traffic—you can just enjoy the trip.”
