“This is a space for recreation,” said AAMU President Daniel Wims. “It’s a place for our students, faculty, staff, and the broader community to come together, engage in friendly competition, and unwind.” Wims added that he hopes the new bowling alley promotes physical activity and fosters a sense of community on campus.
Enhancing student engagement
Vice President of Student Affairs Braque Talley highlighted the university’s commitment to enhancing student experiences. “As our campus grows, we’re larger than ever before. We want to expand our facilities and activities to keep students engaged and supported,” he said.
To celebrate the reopening, the university is offering free bowling to the public on Friday.
