Floriana Italian Restaurant coming in 2026

Family-owned Italian restaurant Floriana will open a new location in MidCity, Huntsville, in 2026.

About the New Location

The restaurant will occupy an 8,000-square-foot, two-story corner space at the NOLA Building, located at MidCity Drive and Stax Street. This will be Floriana’s third location, joining its flagship in Washington, D.C., and a second site in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Cuisine and Experience

Floriana is known for northern Italian recipes, hand-shaped pastas, and scratch-made dishes like gnocchi, ravioli, tortelloni, and its signature lasagna.

The Huntsville menu will feature these favorites along with new offerings, including a raw bar, wood-fired pizzas, specialty burgers, and a curated wine and craft cocktail program. The restaurant emphasizes hospitality and creating a welcoming, celebratory dining experience.

Design and Community Impact

The NOLA Building’s design draws inspiration from New Orleans’ Warehouse District, featuring a brick façade and a wraparound second-floor balcony. Local architecture firm Matheny Goldman designed the space. Developers say Floriana’s arrival highlights MidCity’s growing reputation as a destination for exceptional dining, adding to Huntsville’s culinary scene.

Floriana’s official opening date and special events will be announced closer to the launch in 2026. More information is available at florianarestaurant.com.
