Defense engineering company Duotech has opened a new Huntsville facility that will expand its operations and bring 50 new jobs to the area.
New Facility Expands Huntsville Operations
According to online reports, Duotech marked the opening of its 25,000-square-foot facility in Research Park on August 6.
The new location will support several of the company’s core services. These include electronics testing, repairs, remanufacturing and engineering work.
Duotech currently operates its main headquarters in North Carolina. The Huntsville facility will bring similar electronics depot capabilities to the Rocket City.
The new site sits at 475 Quality Circle NW and adds another defense-focused operation to Huntsville’s growing Research Park area.
Supporting Defense and Aerospace Technology
Duotech specializes in maintaining electronics used across military and aerospace platforms. The company also designs and produces radar systems and automated testing equipment.
Its work supports the long-term operation of mission-critical equipment. The company says it has repaired or upgraded equipment associated with more than 12,000 unique National Stock Numbers.
Duotech has also supported military customers across more than 40 countries.
The company sees Huntsville as a strategic location for its continued growth. The area hosts numerous federal agencies and organizations involved in defense, aviation, missile systems, space and intelligence.
50 New Jobs Coming to Huntsville
The new facility will create 50 local jobs as Duotech expands its presence in North Alabama.
The company’s arrival adds to Huntsville’s established defense and aerospace workforce. It also strengthens the region’s role in supporting military technology and national security programs.
Duotech CEO Dan Bader said Huntsville’s concentration of defense organizations and advanced aerospace activity makes the city an important location for the company.
As the facility ramps up operations, the new jobs and expanded capabilities could further connect Huntsville’s engineering workforce with defense and aerospace projects.
