Huntsville’s MidCity district continues to grow its fitness offerings with two new gym concepts set to open soon.
MidCity fitness scene expands with new gyms
GF Fitness and X4 Fitness are both preparing to open locations in MidCity. The additions will bring new training options ranging from traditional strength training to coach-led group workouts.
As a result, the area continues to evolve as a hub for health and wellness.
GF Fitness to open performance-focused facility
GF Fitness is planning a new location at 5909 University Drive NW. The facility will feature a performance-driven layout designed for strength and functional training.
The gym will include a large turf training area for sled pushes, agility drills, and conditioning work. In addition, it will offer heavy weight equipment, including dumbbells up to 150 pounds.
Operators say the space will focus on minimizing overcrowding while maximizing training flexibility.
X4 Fitness brings coach-led group workouts
X4 Fitness is set to open in May at 930 Old Monrovia Road NW, Suite 5. The gym will specialize in structured, coach-led group classes.
Each session lasts 50 minutes and rotates daily programming. Workouts combine strength training, cardio intervals, and plyometric movements.
Therefore, members can expect varied routines without needing to plan their own workouts.
New concepts add variety to local fitness market
Both gyms aim to serve different segments of the fitness community. GF Fitness targets individuals focused on strength and performance training.
Meanwhile, X4 Fitness offers guided group sessions designed for all experience levels.
Overall, the openings reflect continued demand for diverse fitness options in Huntsville’s growing MidCity district.
