Huntsville Animal Services will celebrate May 4 with a themed adoption event offering free pet adoptions, according to online reports.
“May the 4-Pawed Be With You” Event
Huntsville Animal Services will host its “May the 4-Pawed Be With You” adoption day on Monday, May 4. The event will take place at the shelter on Triana Boulevard.
On that day, the shelter will waive all adoption fees for both dogs and cats. As a result, it offers a great opportunity for residents to welcome a new pet into their homes.
Free Adoptions and Included Services
In addition to waived fees, every adoption includes essential services. Pets will come vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Therefore, adopters can feel confident they are bringing home a healthy companion.
John Fischer, director of Animal Services, said the event adds a fun twist to pet adoption. He noted that many animals are ready to find permanent homes.
Community Fun with a Purpose
The Star Wars-themed event aims to connect the community with adoptable pets in a fun way. At the same time, it helps animals find loving homes more quickly.
Organizers encourage families, individuals, and fans of all ages to attend. Visitors can meet pets, enjoy the theme, and even get creative with new pet names.
The shelter remains open throughout the week with extended hours on select days. Those interested can also browse available pets online or contact Animal Services for more details.
