A Huntsville doughnut shop is getting statewide recognition after being named the best in Alabama, according to online reports.

Bigfoot’s Little Donuts was recently named the top doughnut shop in Alabama by a national food website. The list highlights standout local shops across the country.
The recognition adds to the shop’s growing reputation. It was also voted the best doughnut shop in Alabama by Yelp in 2024.
What Makes Bigfoot’s Stand Out
The family-owned business first opened in 2014 and quickly built a loyal following. Instead of traditional sizes, the shop specializes in mini doughnuts made fresh to order.
Customers can choose from more than 60 flavors daily. Popular options include cinnamon roll, vanilla birthday cake, salted caramel, and strawberry cream. Because the doughnuts are made fresh, they are typically served hot and ready to enjoy.
A Local Favorite with a Unique Story
Owners Brian and Natalie Steele started the business as a food trailer before opening a permanent Huntsville location in 2018. Since then, the shop has become a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike.
Today, the Huntsville location remains the primary shop after a second location in Madison closed in 2025. Even so, the original store continues to draw steady crowds. Therefore, many in the community consider it a must-visit for sweet treats.
Bigfoot’s Little Donuts is open Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
