A Huntsville-based defense technology company has secured major new funding to accelerate production and expand its unmanned systems capabilities, according to reports.
Performance Drone Works Raises Major Series B Funding
Performance Drone Works has raised more than $110 million in Series B funding to scale manufacturing and advance its drone and software technologies used in defense and public safety applications.
The financing round, announced March 25, included participation from investors such as Ondas, Booz Allen Hamilton, Hanwha
Asset Management’s venture fund, and others. As a result, the company is positioned for significant expansion in both production capacity and research and development.
Defense-Focused Drone Manufacturer Expands Capabilities
Founded by engineers and U.S. Special Operations veterans, the company develops unmanned aerial systems, including the C100 quadcopter, strike drones, mission planning software, and multi-mission payloads.
In addition, leadership emphasized the importance of domestic drone manufacturing and supply chain independence as demand for military-ready unmanned systems increases.
Huntsville Strengthens Role in Defense Innovation
The company’s Research Park facility, opened in 2025, continues to anchor its operations in Huntsville’s growing defense and aerospace ecosystem. As a result, the city further strengthens its position as a hub for unmanned systems development serving U.S. military and public safety agencies.
