Hexagon spinoff Octave unveiled its new branding on March 2, 2026, marking a key step toward becoming an independent company.
New Brand Identity
Octave, based in Huntsville with about 1,100 employees, includes Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence and Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial divisions, as well as Bricsys, ETQ, and Projectmates.
CEO Mattias Stenberg said the branding is more than a logo—it reflects Octave’s commitment to helping organizations achieve critical outcomes when complexity is high and success is essential. The company emphasizes clarity, accountability, and intelligence in decision-making.
Platform Capabilities
Octave connects data into one contextualized platform, leveraging domain-specific artificial intelligence. Its solutions focus on four pillars.
The Design pillar supports 3D modeling, engineering analysis, simulation, and geospatial intelligence. Build connects engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning workflows to improve cost and schedule predictability.
Operate unifies operational data, maintenance, and quality systems to enhance asset performance. Protect elevates public safety, cybersecurity, emergency management, and regulatory compliance.
Digital Presence and Spin-Off Process
As part of the new brand, Octave launched its website, octave.com, and a social media presence to showcase its global impact.
The spin-off remains subject to board and shareholder approval, as well as regulatory consents. There is no guarantee that the separation or independent listing will occur, but the company is actively preparing for the transition.
