Hattie B’s Hot Chicken, the nationally loved chain known for its fiery Nashville-style hot chicken, is officially opening Wednesday near Joe Davis Stadium—marking a major milestone for the growing Stadium Commons development.
A Landmark Opening for Stadium Commons
The restaurant will open at 10:45 a.m. at 3212 Memorial Parkway SW, becoming the first business to debut within Stadium Commons, a $145 million mixed-use project rising on the former movie theater site between the Parkway and the stadium.
To celebrate opening day, the first 100 customers will receive a limited-edition merch bundle featuring a custom tote bag, Hattie B’s bandana or neckerchief, patches, and a collector poster—adding extra buzz to the launch.
A Growing Presence in Alabama
This Huntsville location marks Hattie B’s second restaurant in Alabama. The brand first expanded outside its Nashville home base in 2016 with a Birmingham opening, which quickly became a hotspot for fans craving authentic hot chicken.
The move into Huntsville reflects the city’s continued expansion as a food destination and the momentum building around developments surrounding Joe Davis Stadium.
The Heat Levels—and Menu—Fans Expect
Hattie B’s is known for its iconic heat scale, ranging from the mild-mannered “Southern” (no heat) to “mild/medium,” “hot!,” “damn hot!!,” and the infamous “shut the cluck up!!!”—a challenge even for spice veterans.
Customers can order hot chicken as:
- a sandwich with one side
- a plate with white or dark meat
- wings
- tenders
All are served with a choice of two sides.
Menu favorites include Southern greens, bacon cheddar grits, fried pickles, pimento mac-and-cheese, french fries, baked beans, red-skin potato salad, coleslaw and black-eyed pea salad.
