Allegiant Airlines is expanding its service across the U.S. even as other budget carriers, such as Spirit, face bankruptcy. The Las Vegas–based airline announced five new routes nationwide, including three that will launch right here in Huntsville.
Huntsville Gains Three New Florida Routes
Allegiant will begin service out of Huntsville International Airport, which already hosts American, Delta, and United Airlines. From Huntsville, travelers will be able to fly nonstop to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, St. Pete-Clearwater, and Orlando Sanford Airport. These Florida destinations are some of the most popular vacation spots for Alabama families.
National Expansion Continues
Along with Huntsville, Allegiant is also adding flights in Appleton, Wisconsin and Rochester, New York. From those airports, passengers will have new options to Orlando and Sarasota. This announcement comes just weeks after Allegiant revealed seven additional routes in July, six of which also connected to Florida.
Launch Timeline
Tickets for the new Huntsville routes are already on sale. However, flights will not begin until late 2025, with schedules rolling out between November 2025 and March 2026.
With these additions, Huntsville residents will soon have even more convenient options for affordable travel to Florida.
