Explore Andy Warhol’s World in Huntsville this summer

One of the most celebrated names in modern art is coming to North Alabama this summer. The Huntsville Museum of Art will debut a major Andy Warhol exhibition featuring more than 150 works spanning art, fashion, photography, and film.

Andy Warhol Exhibition Opens July 31

WARHOL: film, fashion, photography will be on display at the Huntsville Museum of Art from July 31 through Oct. 18, 2026.

The exhibition explores Warhol’s influence on American culture through a diverse collection of screenprints, illustrations, photographs, films, and fashion pieces. As visitors move through the galleries, they will discover how his work helped shape the worlds of art, media, and celebrity.

Among the highlights are portraits of Marilyn Monroe, Liza Minnelli, Judy Garland, Grace Jones, and John Wayne, along with Warhol’s famous Campbell’s Soup Can artwork.

Art, Fashion, and Film Come Together

The exhibition also showcases Warhol’s early fashion illustrations from the 1950s, offering a look at the creative beginnings of his career. In addition, visitors can view couture designs by renowned fashion designers Diane von Furstenberg and Halston, whose work reflects Warhol’s influence on the fashion industry.

Film and photography play an equally important role. Guests will have the opportunity to watch Poor Little Rich Girl (1965) and explore photographs that capture life inside Warhol’s legendary Factory studio and the creative figures who gathered there.

Together, these collections present a broader view of the artist’s lasting impact beyond Pop Art.

Special Events Planned Throughout the Exhibition

The Huntsville Museum of Art has scheduled several public programs to accompany the exhibition. Events include an Andy Warhol birthday celebration, printmaking demonstrations, film screenings, and a fashion-focused program.

Later in the exhibition, longtime Warhol associate Vincent Fremont will visit Huntsville to discuss the artist’s life, creative process, and cultural legacy during a special lecture and reception.

The exhibition offers North Alabama residents a rare opportunity to experience one of the largest collections of Warhol’s work ever displayed in the region while exploring the lasting influence of one of the 20th century’s most recognizable artists.
