Stadium Commons momentum builds with phase two construction underway

Growth is continuing at Stadium Commons in Huntsville as construction moves forward on a new development phase and additional businesses open, according to online reports.

Stadium Commons enters new development phase

Construction has officially begun on phase two of Stadium Commons, located near Joe Davis Stadium off South Memorial Parkway. The project is being led by Crunkleton Commercial Real Estate.

In addition, the development continues to build momentum as more tenants open in the area. Officials say the expansion marks another step toward completing the larger mixed-use destination.

Stadium Commons sits on about 18 acres and includes retail space, open green areas, and planned community gathering spots. When finished, it will include more than 200,000 square feet of commercial space and a Hyatt Place hotel with 145 rooms.

New businesses open at growing retail hub

Several businesses are already operating in the first phase of the development. These include VSL Nail Spa, Free People, FP Movement, Ferren Boutique, and Hattie B’s Hot Chicken.

In addition, VSL Nail Spa recently opened at the site, adding to the mix of retail and service offerings. More phase one tenants are expected to open later this year.

Developers say the combination of national and regional brands reflects the project’s long-term vision for a modern community-centered destination.

New restaurant planned as expansion continues

More additions are also on the way. Juniper’s, a New American restaurant concept from Power Brands Hospitality Group, is expected to open later this year.

Furthermore, officials say phase two will continue to add dining, retail, and entertainment options. The goal is to build a walkable district with events, live music, and community programming.

Finally, residents can expect continued updates as construction progresses and new tenants are announced.
