Good Company Café to open second Huntsville location

Good Company Café is opening a second Huntsville location after years of steady growth on the city’s south side.

A Neighborhood Staple Finds Its Footing

Since opening in 2018, Good Company Café has built a loyal following in South Huntsville. The restaurant serves all-day brunch and popular menu items like its signature orange-cranberry chicken salad. As a result, it has become a gathering place for both longtime regulars and first-time visitors.

Owners John and Angela Lindbeck say the café’s success comes from strong community connections. They note that many guests return for milestones ranging from first dates to family celebrations. Even so, new customers continue to discover the café each week.

Growth Rooted in Community

Good Company Café operates out of Main Street Shopping Village, where it has grown into a cornerstone business. The space stays busy with a mix of nearby residents and diners willing to drive across town for a table.

Although developers approached the owners about expanding into downtown, Madison, and Hampton Cove, the couple waited. Instead, they looked for a space with history and character that matched their original location.

Five Points Location Set to Open

That opportunity arrived with the former 1892 East Restaurant & Tavern space in the Five Points neighborhood. The location carries deep local food history and sits near other Huntsville staples.

The new Good Company Café location is expected to open this spring. Owners say Five Points’ charm and sense of place made the decision an easy one. They see the expansion not as a change in direction, but as a natural extension of what already works.
